DST, Why a Preferred Format in Embroidery Digitizing?
I have a lot of fun in embroidery with machines. It's not difficult, just need to turn on your computerized machine and it does work itself according to the given instructions. I need a file format DST for doing this. What is it and which machine uses the DST format?
As you know that embroidery digitizing is the process in which a software guides embroidery machine what to do and how to do it. For the creation of stitches, a specific computer language is used and the DST file is one of the formats for this language. In this file, digital instructions are coded for producing a design.
Now I am sure you must be thinking about which embroidery machines use the DST format? Domestic and commercial embroidery machines use DST(Data Stitch Tajima) format. DST is computer-aided technology, once you chose your stitching pattern, it tells the needle where to move. It is named DST as the manufacturer of the embroidery machine “Tajima “ introduced it the first time and in embroidery digitizing, the DST format is being used commonly.
Being in the modern era, we can do embroidery effortlessly within less time. Specialized file formats contain all stitching information and you don't need to input it manually. This format is a broadly accepted format for embroidery digitizing.
Well, are you thinking of converting JPEG to DST yourself? Certainly, it is not an easy task to do as you don't only need to have specialized software but you must have sound knowledge of embroidery digitizing, and only an expert and experienced digitizer can do it accurately and competently.
If you don't have technical expertise in embroidery digitizing, then the other alternative for JPEG to DST is to approach some professional embroidery digitizing companies. Although it will cost but the result will be commendable that you can’t get from free embroidery digitizing software.
